Registering a lease agreement by post

Can’t register your lease online via MyMinfin? Then, of course, you can still do so by post! Find out which forms you need, how to obtain and send them, and what to do if you do not receive the form on time.
  • Would you like to register your lease by post instead of online via MyMinfin? We will guide you step by step through the application and submission of the application form so that you can effortlessly fulfil your registration obligations.

  • Step-by-step plan: registering a lease agreement by post

    1. Determine which standard form you need.

Choose between de three available versions:

      1. Registration application for a lease with or without delivery report
      2. Registration application for a separately submitted delivery report for a lease
      3. Registration application for a sublease, addendum, a transfer of lease or a termination of lease or sublease
    2. Apply for the appropriate standard form.

You can apply for the form in two ways: call the FPS Finance contact centre on +32 2 572 57 57 or fill in the web form. Ask for a separate form for each lease.

Keep in mind that it may take up to 10 working days to receive the form by post, so pay close attention to the registration deadline and take the necessary steps to register your contract through MyMinfin within this deadline if you did not receive the form on time. This way, you avoid being late and having to pay a fine.

    3. Fill in the form.

Always use an original copy of the form, not a copy or printout.

    4. Enclose a copy of the lease.

Do not provide us with the original lease. This is because the documents you send to the scanning centre are not returned to you after scanning. Important: the lease should always be signed by both parties.

    5. Send the original form with a copy of the lease or any other documents in a sufficiently stamped envelope to the FPS Finance scanning centre.

The address of the scanning centre can be found on the form.

    6. When we have registered your lease, you will receive a proof of registration (we call this the registration certificate).

If your application is incomplete, we will contact you.
