Deadline: update your bank account number before the 5th day of the month when the tax refund is scheduled. Example: if your notice of assessment states that the tax refund will be made on August 30, then you must update your bank account number by August 5 to receive the tax refund on the chosen bank account.
Important: if you are married or in a legal cohabitation, we will transfer your tax refund to the last known bank account number. This is the same bank account number mentioned in your notice of assessment.
Tip: You can also give a mandate to a relative to carry out your tax procedures online on your behalf, including changing your bank account number ("Déléguer ses démarches fiscales à un proche ou agir à sa place" - link in French).
